Great dealership that is not pushy. I highly recommend Paul Roddy.
Mark and Russell from Simply Better were so professional and caring. I’m in a position where I need to rebuild my credit. I spent over 4 hours at the HUGE guy’s place in Latham and got the run around. Russell assured me I was qualified and proved it in under an hour. I test drove a Honda CRV and am picking it up soon. I highly recommend Simply Better ( who are associated with Rensselaer Honda) for anyone looking for a fair deal for a quality car.
My husband and I purchased our new truck on 11/9/18. We had had our previous vehicle (also purchased at Simply Better) for the past six years, but she was getting tired and it was time for an upgrade. Mark (Wilde) made our experience pleasant and wasn’t your typical “pushy” salesman. On this particular day, we were super tight on time and both Simply Better and the folks at Rennselaer Honda accommodated us and had us in our new vehicle within hours. Everyone we communicated with yesterday was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience comfortable and easy. We’re hoping to have this truck for many years, but rest assured, when the time comes, we will continue to purchase our vehicles from Simply Better. Thanks for being so patient and accommodating with us, Mark! We love our new truck 🙂
I just purchased a 2015 Acura. So easy. Great Customer service and Knowledge provided about your car and Simply Better Program. Love this place. If your in need of a car your guaranteed to get approved here and leave with a Great Credit ??o?? after you it off.
I may be a bit premature with this post, but I am compelled after my experience with this dealership. I stopped in to simply better on Saturday 10/6/18, and I was met by Paul, who is one hell of a salesman, this guy has mastered the NO PRESSURE sales technique, anyway, I test drove a couple of vehicles and then decided to make a purchase. Paul took care of all the details on his end and even alerted me to the potential problem I was going to have at DMV. Being Columbus day, and having my heart set on driving a vehicle right off the lot today the situation gave me pause!! So, with DMV being closed and having a road trip ahead of me this evening I suspected that there were other forces at work preventing me from taking delivery of the vehicle I absolutely loved, so I began to dig. I ordered the carfax report, and realized the car I was about to purchase was at this dealership back in 2015, and that was the last time the manufacturer recommended maintenance was performed, so I called Paul. Of course Paul had to consult his boss, the sales manager, and at the end of the exchange Paul tells me what I already know, failing to really understand that I could care less about what the manufacturer suggests, but about the FACT that the SPECIFIC THINGS on that maintenance inspection hadn't been addressed since 2015. Paul was very candid, and again, he told me what we all know, the manufacturer wants to earn service dollars every 10000 miles, but THAT was not the point. Paul assured me that 120 point inspection had been done, which put me at ease until I did the leg to see what the typical 120 point inspection consists of.. . It did NOT include ANY of the items on the scheduled maintenance that held any SIGNIFICANCE. When I initially asked for the maintenance inspection to be done this afternoon I relented upon hearing about this 120 point inspection, as the maintenance inspection is only about 25 items, but those items could literally make or break you, so with that said I am now reluctant to take delivery on Friday given the dealerships reluctantance to PAY a mechanic to perform the scheduled maintenance. I leave the capital district heading west for work with my word to make this deal upon my return Friday and I do not have peace of mind knowing that I'm making a sound purchasing decision. And again, Paul was OUTSTANDING, but he answers to managers like myself, and I have counterparts that would make me nervous following their advice, and more specifically , Paul was told that manufacturers always suggest what's in the book, but as I pointed out, the book hadn't been followed since 2015 and now I'm looking at purchasing this vehicle in 2018!!! The sales manager said its just manufacturers way of making money.. . But in 2015 right there at the very same dealership which is where the previous owner, purchased this vehicle, there is a carfax record of the maintenance inspection being done, yet today on the verge of a sale, the sales manager tells his subordinate to simply attempt to talk the customer OUT of even thinking about the manufacturers suggested maintenance smacks of Greed!!! I'm thinking Paul's boss is only looking at his P&L and couldn't give a damn about the vehicle I'm about to purchase!!!..... So when I spring the three vehicle recalls that have NOT been addressed, of which two could have been taken care of prior to the sale to me, I will pay close attention to the looks on their faces.... And yes, there are two recalls with solutions that have not been taken care of, which leads me to believe they just want to unload thus vehicle and let me deal with the nonsense they should have dealt with, but instead chose to prey on the unsuspecting.......I love the vehicle and fully intend to go through with the purchase but they have NO IDEA WHAT ITS GOING TO TAKE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. . . I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED, MY DELIVERY DATE IS FRIDAY 10/12/18, AND THANK GOD IT ISN'T THE THIRTEENTH !! THAT WOULD BE A POTENTIAL NIGHTMARE,, BUT I WILL UPDATE THIS POST THEN FOLKS !!
